Tutoring a Student

What to expect...

Orton Gillingham individualized instruction is appropriate for dyslexic and striving readers in Grades K-12, and adult learners.

Tutoring sessions are 30-60 minutes, depending upon the age and needs of the student. A minimum of 2 sessions per week is recommended in order to see significant progress.

In-Person Tutoring

$65 per session

Our lessons will take place at a local public library.  The library provides a variety of quiet, convenient meeting spaces, with the added bonus of being surrounded by books!  It is also a nice place for parents to "hang out" while I work with their child.  I tutor from libraries in both Farmington and Livonia (specific meeting rooms/tables within the library may be different each time we meet, depending upon availability).

Online Virtual Tutoring (via Zoom)

$60 per session

Students need to have access to an Apple IPAD that is compatible with the Zoom App, a stylus pen, and a reliable internet connection.  Virtual meetings are perfect for before-school tutoring sessions (6-8:00 am).  Please note that virtual learning may not be appropriate (or best) for all students.
